Upon arrival into Lima´s International Airport you will make your way through the arrivals doors. Your hotel is conveniently located in the carpark of the airport. A quick walk and no need for transfers. You will appreciate the convenience and comfort after your international flight.

Note: Most International flights arrive into Lima late in the evening. All flights for Cusco depart in the morning and afternoon.

DAY 2 - CUSCO

Breakfast at your hotel. At the designated time you will walk over to the airport and check in for your flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be greeted by our staff who will be holding a sign with your "last name" on it. You will be transferred to your hotel. Free day to acclimatize.

Inca Trail Pre-Briefing:

In the evening at 7pm your guide will come to your hotel and present you with important information regarding your trek departing the next day. It will be a good opportunity for you to ask any final questions that you have.

DAY 3 - Wayllabamba

Early morning bus drive to the head of the trail at Km 82 from where we will continue along the Urubamba River to the first archaeological site of Llaqtapata here we will enjoy lunch in a beautiful setting. After a rest we continue through a valley as we start gaining altitude till we reach the village called Wayllabamba where we will camp for the evening.

Distance Travelled: 12 kms/ 7.47 miles
Approximate Walking time: 5-6 Hours

After a healthy breakfast we start to climbing up to the first pass ´Warmiwanusca´(4200 m) also know by the erie name (Dead Woman´s Pass). The climb will take us most of the morning. From here we descend for about 2 hours into the valley to our next camp ´Pacaymayo´.

Distance Travelled: 11 km/ 6.84 miles

Approximate Walking Time: 6-7 Hours

Today is going to be the most diverse day of the trek. We start with the ascent of the second pass ´Runcuracay´ (3900 m) and descend on the other side for about 2 hours to the beautiful archaeological site ´Sayacmarca´. After having explored this unique place we continue on the original stone path of the Incas through semi-tropical cloud forest onto the third pass ´Phuyupatamarca´ (3800 m). With good weather we have spectacular views of the surrounding snow peaks and the valley below. From here it is all downhill to our camp ´Winaywayna´ (one of the most beautiful sites in the area for its construction and setting.

DAY 6 - Machu Picchu

Breakfast and then we will hike till we reach the Sun Gate (Intipunku) enjoying our first spectacular views of Machu Picchu. We will descend hiking through lush tropical jungle. Upon arrival into Machu Picchu your guide will give you a 2 hour tour of the citadel. By noon you will have worked yourself up an appetite. We have included a delicious buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge. After lunch you will take the shuttle bus down to Aguas Calientes where you will aboard the scenic Vistadome Train ride back to Cusco where you will be met and transferred back to your hotel.

*You may be interested in hiking up to Hyuana Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain. These hikes are subject to availability. Enquire for more information.
